the countdown

located in the guest bedroom, in our new, unpacked house, dedicated solely to preparations for my nearing trip (october 19th) across the deep blue sea, i find myself in a packing frenzy. over the last week, or so, i have made various lists - of course not quite as simple as santa's naughty/nice lists. these lists have been broken into a few different categories. there's the obligatory "to-do" list that seems never-ending. then there's the "to-buy" list, which makes me really wish that money does grow on trees. also among the lists, naturally, is the "to-pack" list, which, at the moment, has all of my anxiety-laced attention. i'm a pretty simple girl, with little need to pack my entire closet, but it seems that packing for another country, where i will live for a couple of months, has me frozen with a wittle panic. not to mention, my belongings are still strewed across the house, being that i have had little time organize everything. this is all completely normal, right? at any rate, i am extatic to begin this journey "across the pond", and look forward to sharing tales of my norwegian adventure with you.
